The action of the market was a surprise to more than one man In the trade. It was lower during the morning, but with shorts anxious buyers, here and at Minneapo lis, the entire situation changed from bearish to a bullish market. The cash markets were slow because of the advance. Argentine shipments are estlimited for the week at 80(f,000 bushels whoat and 2,800,000 bushels corn. Primary receipts of wheat 913,000 and corn 443,000 bushels, compared with 1.259.000 bushels and 581,000 bushels, respectively, a year ago. Clearances for the day were 619,000 bushels wheat, 170,000 bushels corn and 5.000 bushels oats.
