cents. Ho said that his customers were
willing to hold, and thut he Intended to

Several of the local exporters are
paying ns much as a quarter and some
are paying us high as a half above the
market. The local market la well sup
plied. ami all of the farmors will
doubtless hold to what they have until

Murphoy la chairman, left the city hall
at 10 o'clock Friday morning for a per'
sotml Inspection ot all the lota offered.

meeting of James D. Nance camp, U. C.

decided to send fifty members of the
camp to the unveiling of the Hampton
statue, which will be held In Cotumblu
on the 20th Instant. The delegation will
ho under command of Commander J.
W. Gary and Adjutant O. L Bchum-
pert.

-Macon, Oa., Nov. 16.—The big dele
gation of Macon veterans attending the
state reunion In Suvqnnah has re
turned and the old vets are loud In
their praise of the Forest City people
for the manner In which they were en
tertained. Among the Macon vets who
went to Buvannah Is Captain Warren
Moseley, one of Macon's oldest and beat
known policemen. Captain Moselev
attracted considerable intention at the
reunion because of the fact that he was
equipped throughout as he was when
he was mustered out of the Confederate
service In 1865. He wore his old gray
uniform, carried u saber he cuptured
In a hand-to-hand flglit with a-Federal
officer and sticking out of either boot
was an old Colt ball und cap pistol that
did service for the Confederacy In the

Covington, Ou„ Nov. 16.—Frank
Thomas, a negro wanted In Jones
county for murder, waa eaptureil by
Deputy Bhcrlff Maddox after a chase
lasting for several hours, about
thirteen mllea from Covington yester-
dny. Starting from the suburbs of Cov
ington, he followed Thomas through
Newton, Jasper and Butts counties be
fore he wns captured. Sheriff Kth-
redge took him In charge.
Before finally capturing Thomas they
put bloodhounds on Ills trail and fol
lowed him to a river, where the scent
was lost. After gome trouble, the scent
was found again and bis capture fol
lowed.
