SIX ENTOMBED MINERS ARE DOOMED TO DEATH Bakersfield, Cal., Dec. 11.—The six miners who are entomoed In the Edison Electric Company's shaft at Kern river canyon, were still alive at 11 o’clock yesterday, uccordlng to the story of a miner who arrived here today. The en tombed men have been making signals on the rails, which are plainly heard by the rescuing party. Experienced miners say It Is Impos- sftile to rescue the men alive, as «t would require weeks to remove the de bris between , the bottom of the shaft and the place where the miners are.
