The public service rendered the city, for which nothing wae paid the department, $190,- 000. The total proflt, therefore,' wae $254,215.69. The following additions are recom mended: Force main from river to res ervoir: another coagulating basin; an other clear water basin; doubling of Altering capacity; an additional pump of at least 20,000,000 capacity at No. 2 pumping station.
