There were many prominent English men and women at Kingston, Ja
maica, when that historic city wae almost destroyed by the recent earth
quake and fire. They had gone there to be present at the conference of
cotton apinnere and cotton planters. At the extreme left of the picture ia

lowing telegram was received by

noon:
"Key West, Fla., Jan. 18.—A
wireless from Guantanamo: Pen
dleton reports at 2:20 a. m. from

on the battleship Maine, by wire
less. via Guantanamo and Pensa
cola, to the Washington navy

sued on the indictments have been
served by Deputy Sheriff Dan Perkin

Holland Curran, Edward Whittlesey,
Daniel Danny. T. M. Hamilton. Sr, and
