Ola Mann and Mrs. Leroy Brisindlne
are splendid refutations of the oft
charge that home girls are at a dis
advantage as teachers in the local
s hoot. If we can hold these teachers
in our faculty we are assured of t
nucleus around which to build up a
real system. We now have and ah
ways do have a number of imported
teachers who are interested and effi
cient, hut never have we imported bet
ter teachers than we raise in C. H. S.
If you cun gel more like—these four,
hy all means get them.
Mr. Opher Cooper,, principal and
athletic coach of C. H. S., is having
engine trouble again, Mr. Drake suit
plying for him, and by the way, Mr.
Drake got hard boiled last week and
spoke iiis mind about teachers who
are just teaching until they can get
married or get something oven better
to do. Now, if you teachers lnrve in
mind anything better, don’t get mar
ried because we parents have to teach
a great deal more than you do.

came over to Conyers Monday. He is
now convinced of two things, that the
Imll weevil is a curse and the Rock
dale Record is a blessing to the farm
ers. Come on ye people and line up
with the Record.
If you doubt the wisdom of adver
tising in the Rockdale Record —then
explain how it happened that more
people visited the Conyers Ten Cent
Store lust Saturday than did during
tlie entire month of February, follow
ing their whole page ad in the Record

METHODIST CHURCH
Sunday, Marcih 17
“And thou shalt be like a watered
garden, and like an unfailing spring
of water.” The pastor’s morning
theme will be “The Community as a
Watered Garden.” Eveing theme, “The
Set of the Soul.” O foolish Galatians,
who hath bewitched you, that you
should not obey the truth? Why do
people build houses of worship and
never worship in them?
Why call Christ Lord and not obey
him? The Methodist Sunday school is
working for a record attendance.
Come.
