MEETING OF CIRCLE NO. 1
OF PRESBYTERIAN AUXILIARY
Circle No. 1 of the Presbyterian
Auxiliary met Monday afternoon with
Mrs. Louis Downs. Chairman, Mrs.
Beattie, called meeting to order. Scrip
ture lesson read by Mrs. Downs. Pray
i r by Miss Jennie Joe McCollum.
Flight members were present. We were
glad to have Mrs. James Mann as a
visitor. Circle realized a nice sum
from sh,ow, “King of Kings.” Plans
were made for a dinner that tile cir
cle will furnish for a Masonic meet
ing to he held oil Friday, May 31. An
interesting study on the second chap
ter of Acts was conducted by Miss
Jennie Joe McCollum, and a study of
life of John was given by Mrs. Tucker.
Leader for next meeting, Mrs. Hol
lingsworth, lesson is tlie 3rd chapter
of Acts. Mrs. .1. L. White, secretary of
Christian social service visited our
circle in interest of her work. After
adjourning to meet the 2nd Monday in
.June with Mrs. J. W. Hollingsworth-.
Mrs. Downs served us with delicious
cream and cake. Meeting closed with
benediction.
