Why Baseball Failed
in Conyers This Year
Thors* seems to he two good rea
lms why the Conyers baseball season
, Inst il Inst week and our hoys dis-
I,,uided, hut we* have no idea what
these reasons are. II may be that ev
erybody is wrapped up in golf and
bridge or it may he that our team was
too ninth like the Atlanta Crackers to
interest the people. But, he that as
it may. the whole shebang resigned in
unison and disr-ord sifter last week's
game, or would have resigned had
there been anybody left to receive res
ignations. They were somewhat like
the colored minister to whom the eon
t:legation suggested resigning. He pin
mil .a piece of mistletoe on his coat
tail and told them to observe il ns he
marched down tile aisle, for lie had
,init. Or H may be that they decided
apeii a split season play one half and
net the other—anyway, we trust some
body will ttike over the franchise and
play hall during the other half of the
season.
