Dr. E. C. Atkins, our chaplain at the
prison farm, on July 1 made a most
impressive report of his work to the
prison commission. The Union-Recor
der, of Milledgeville, has done well to
give this report in full to its readers.
Many are helping by sending maga
zines, books, newspapers and tracts.
Remarkable instances of conversion
are given. The Macon. Telegraph, in a
Sunday issue, carried a very interest
ing article on Dr. Atkins’ work, writ
ten by the" brilliant Mrs. Bernice
Brown McCullar, of Milledgeville.
Good Third Quarter conferences will
greatly help us in making a good re
port for the year at the Annual Con
ference in November. Let every mem
ber cooperate with pastor and officials
in having the best series of Third
Quarterly conferences ever held in the
Oxford district.
