BOARD OF HEALTH
The Dade County Board of
Health met March ioth. All mem¬
bers were present: D.S,Middleton;
S. J. Hale, secretary; John Cass,
of the Boare of Roads and Reven¬
ues. The meeting being public
several citizens were present in¬
cluding physicians: Dr, J. M.
Welfbourne, Wildwood; Dr. R. B.
Cuthburt, Trenton, Dade County;
and Dr. J. II. Hammond, Health
Commiiioner of Walker Co. and
Mr. \Y r . P. Jackson of La Fayette
were guests of the Board. Tha
meeting was devoted to a cam¬
paign of public health education in
Dade county, Dr. Hammond and
Mr. Jackson visited the Trenton
School at the noon hour Skd made
interesting talks on health and edu
cation.

Thomas, who is a grandson
of Mrs. Bell Wilson, Rising
Fawn, joined the Marine Corps
at Indianapolis, Ind., last March
and in recent weeks has been
stationed at Parris Island, S C.
; where Marines are given their
preliminary training. When
certain men at that station
were recommended for promo¬
tion, Wilson was one of the
Marines selected.
