Charles Haygood is reported
to be recovering but remains at
Hutcheson Memorial Hospital'.
Mrs. Clara Mae Brandon is a
new employee of Gross Mer¬
cantile.
Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Breedlove,
Acworth, Georgia visited the
Bill Breedloves Monday and
Tuesday.
W. L. Fannin is on annual
leave from the ASC office this
week. The Fannins have his
mother visiting with them for
a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Johns left
Monday for California where
they will visit their sons, Bill
and Eugene, and the latter’s
family.
T. S. Renfroe and Mr. and
Mrs. Howard McKaig spent the
holidays in Savannah, Ga. Mrs.
Renfroe, who has been visiting
there for the past few weeks,
returned home with them.
Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Stevenson
remain sick at their home. Their
son Gilford and Mr. Stevenson’s
brother Conrad are there with
them.
Mrs. Tony Chevremont and
daughters Rosita and Cecile of
Hato Rey, Purerto Rico and
Paul Weems of Summerville, Ga
were visitors of Mr. and Mrs.
Asa L. McMahan Monday.
Mr. and Mrs .Mack Medley
are the proud parents of a
daughter born July 2. She has
been named Pamela Romonia
and mother and baby are doing
just fine.
Mr. Delbert Stewart from St.
Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. A. A.
Pierce and Mrs. Carrie Stewart
visited with the Misses Ellen
and Fannie and Mr. Virgil Ste¬
wart Tuesday.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. John
A Murphy and John W. Murphy
for the holiday were Mr. and
Mrs. Pat Murphy of Spring City,
/Tenn. Little Miss Amy Murphy
accompanied them home for a
week’s visit.
Mr. and Mrs. John Tatum en¬
tertained with a patio party the
evening of the Fourth.. Guests
enjoyed horse-shoes and bad¬
minton before eating the host’s
specialty of grilled hamburgers

end in their new cabin on the
bluff o f Lookout Mountain.
Work is progressing on the 40-
acre lake Mr. Gross is building
across the highway on property
formerly owned by Roy Moore.
The Martin Netherys have
had Mr. and Mrs. Jack Weirth
and children of Milwaukee,
Wis. as their guests the past
two weeks. The Weirths were
guests of honor Saturday at an
al fresco luncheon at the Neth-
ery home which was attended by

James Richie moved his busin
ness two weeks ago to the brick
building at the intersection of

highways.
