A Democ. at?
The Democratic primary recent
ly held in Dade county was con
ducted for the purpose of settling,
so far as democrats were concerned,
the question of candidates in all
the races acted upon.
An}- legal voter, whether here
tofore a democrat or not, who
would support the nominees of the
party could vote in that primary.
If he voted for one man in that
race he bound himself to support
every nominee named by that pri
-ary.
' No voter was compelled, but the
intent was to bind *verv man to
he support of all the nominees.
Our executive committee, the
makers of democratic law, said we
will settle these contests in a pri
mary’ of organized democrats.
A voter has cast a ballot for only
one officer out of a dozen per
hapse. and then is willing to vot6
against the other eleven, is that
man a democrst. and had he the
right in a party primary?
In a letter ttrese questions are
submitted to us.
