THE WEEK'S RXVIKW.
New York???The cotton market was Influenced by
a dull nnd depressed feeling all the week, hnd the
qlose to-day leaves quotations 203825 points under
the prices of a week ago. Notwithstanding this,
however, there bn* been a very fair demind for
???poti*, though prices are ranging lower; mtdtling
closed 9*16 ICe. Receipt* for five days amount to
291,124 bales, against 202,1??5 balc-s for the corres
ponding time last year, which shows that we are
not lagging behind.
In the local cotton market there has been an
active demand all tho week, and all offerings have
been steadily token, though the market has been
ofa declining tendency. Receipts have been large,
end the predictions that Atlanta would pass but
jeer in receipt* may yet prove true. Receipts for
Ihelvetk amount to !4,276 bales, against 8,020 bales
hot week nnd against 1I.C34 hales lor the corres
