Col. Tom Hardeman, wasquitesick

General Milledge L. Bonham of
South Carolina was a defaulter to the

A frightful wreck occurred on the
Govliigton uud Macon railroad lust
Friday afteruood. A* train No.-50,
which leaves Athens at 1 o’clock was
running about 50 miles an hour,

rear coach left the track and rolled

coach, and it is indeed a miracle how

were reported in Savannah on the
14th. Exaggerated reports had been
set afloat as to the prevalence of the
disease and much unnecssary alarm
