[ The city has invested a large amount
in a street sweeper, and there should

The Union Recorder of April 30th. [
1880, carried an interesting account
of how Memorial Day, April 20th,,
was celebrated in this city.
At that time the people of Milledfte-1
ville and Baldwin county turneu out J
i masse to pay honor to the heroes
who wore the grey.
The day was a veritable holiday, j
and the procession was formed at the i
Court House by Capt. T. K. Newell'
Marshal of the day. In it were the ,
Baldwin Blues. Lieut. G. W. Caraker.'
Commanding: The Blount Volunteers.'
Cap*. P. T. Ennis in Command: The
DuBignon Volunteers, CapL Wm.J
