Mr. Leighton Moore, »>n of Mr.
C. L. Moore left this city Tuesday
afternon for Hampton Ronds, Va..
where he will enter the United State
Navy, going into the training school
preparatory to entering Annapolis.
Mr. Moore reeived the third alter
nates appointment to the academy
from Congressman Carl Vinson and
stood the entrance examination in
Macon before going to Virginia. Mr.
Moore will be in training at the Vir
ginia Naval ha>»* for about a year
when he will be given the opportunity
to stand the entrance examination
for the academy in view of receiving
appointment.
Mr. Moore was one of the honor
rrndu-i'es at G. M. C. the past year
and made n very brilliant record dur
ing his four years in the cadet corps.

That on the 15th, day of July. 1908
at the regular July term of the!
Superior Court of Baldwin county,!
a charter was issued to it by said I
court at and for the term of twenty ]
years, which appears in Minute:
Book J. Pages 535-537 in the Super
ior Court, clerk’s office of said coun
ty; and tbit said charter will expire {
on July the 15th, 1928 next,—refer-j

Thai said corporation is a bene
volent institution having for its pur
pose and object of giving aid to the
sick and needy of its membership, to
properly and decently bury the deud
and to propagate the teaching of the
Christian religion and therefore is
not for the purpose of pecuniary gain
and has no capital stock.

That at a call meeting of the mem- j
hers of said corporation held in a«-1
cordance with the charter and by
laws of the some on the Uth day of
June, 1928, a resolution was un
animously adopted directing thut ’h»
charter he renewed as authorized and
provided by law, a certified abstract
from the minutes of the corpoiati>»n
showing that the application for re
newal and amendment has been au
thorized by proper corporate action,
is here to attached and marked Ex
hibit A and made a part thereof.
Petitioner shows that as provided
by law .and before the expiration of
said charter, it files this its petition
in the office of the clerk of the
Superior Court of said county, signed
with the corporate name of the corpo
ration whow charter is sought to be
renewed.
Wherefore, the mid ROCK MILL
CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR SOCIETY
prays that its charter be renewed for
the term of twenty years from July
the 15th., 1928, with all the powers,
privileges and immunities hereto
fore vested in it, in its original char
ter and as may he allowed by law
for corporations of similar character
under the laws of Georgia.

At a special meeting called for the
purpose, it was brought to the at
tention of the Lodge that the present
charter of the corporation would ex
pire on the 15th, duy of July 1928.
and that in order for a continuation
of its operation, it is necessary that
the charter be revived. Upon motion
made and unanimously carried, the
trustees were directed to employ le
gal coun.qel for the purpose of having
proper steps taken in the Superior
Court of Baldwin county for the re
vival and renewal of such charter.
