The funeral services of Mr. Wal
ts r Henry Blanks, who died sudenly
at his hcn.e in this city Wednesday.
October Tth, was held at the Metho-
id ; ?t church Friday morning, at I
eleven o’clock. Rev. J. F. Yarbrough
as isted by Rev. J. H. Farr, ofiiciat-
ing. The remains were buried in the
city cemetery, with the folio-wing ac
ting as pall bearers: Messrs L. C.
Hall, M. S. Bell, Dr. W. T. Wynn,
O. M. Conn, L. D. Smith and J. C.
Grant.
Mr. Blanks was bom in Jone?
county seventy-two years ago, and
grew to manhood there. About
twenty-nine years ago he moved with
his family to this city, and later pur
chased a farm in the south-western
part of the city, and engaged inj
farming, in connection with which he j
successfully conducted a dairy. He
was a life long member of the Metho
dist church, and was recognized by
all who knew him, a* a good, quiet,
substantial citizen and man.
Mr. Blanks is survived by Mrs. i
Blank and six children. They are:

Blanks, of this city: Miss Sara ■
Blanks, of thi- city; Mrs. J. N. Sami
