Nut Cake
1-2 lb butter
1 lb. sugar
1 lb. flour
6 eggs
2 lbs. raisins
1-4 lb. citron or cocoanut
1 qt. shelled nuts
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1‘ tablespoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tea-poon vanilla
Wineglass of fruit juice
Make as any cake. Flour nuts and
raisins with little of flour. Steam J

2 tablespoons butter
Cook to the hard ball. Remove
from fire add 1 cup of grated cocoa-
nut and teaspoon lemon juice. Beat
until creamy, pour over marshmal

parents of a fine haby boy bom Sat
urday, October, 12th, Rev. F. H.
Harding became a grandfather.
The young man weighed nine
pounds and has been named William
Stark J 'tt, III. Both Mrs. Jett and
little Billie No. 3, are doing fine and
Mr. Jett is about the proudest young
man m Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Hardman have
the deepest sympathy of their friends
on account of the death of their
infant son, which occurred Monday
night at the city hospital, where he
was bora a few hours before.
