U ork was started this week by Mr.
K. V. Jordan, local nurseryman, to
lajibcape the North side of the cam
pus if the Georgia State College for
Women, several hundred flowers and
trees arc being planted.
^ The principal part of the work is

dan dc.-igm-d the plan and is furnish-
i» g the plants. Several weeks will be

done.

1 pint milk
1 large tabh spoon of butter
1 large tablespoon of flour
1 teaspoon salt
1-8 teaspoon pepper (more if need
ed.)
Add hot water to com. Cook but
ter and flour together adding milk
as for cr<v»m sauce. Add to corn
with salt and pepper. Let all reach
boiling point and serve immediate
stiffly and when sirup is ready pour
slowly over them, beating constantly.
Beat until creamy, acd nuts .and droj

Scolloped Oyater*
i quart oysters
1 egg
3 table rpoons butter '
1-2 cup milk
2 cups buttered bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Warm oysters and drain. Beat
egg, add to milk. Butter baking dish.
Then add layer oysters, and bread
crumbs until the supply is exhausted.
Pour over this the milk and egg.
Bake about thirty minute*.

1 1-2 cups mashed potatoes
1-2 cup sugar
1 heaping kitchen spoon lard
1 cup potato water (warm)
1 cup milk or water with 2 yearst
