nesday afternoon. The guest list
included the eight club members. Af
ter an afternoon spent in playing
bridge, delicious refreshments were
served.
Mrs. John Stover won the prize
for high score and she wa. also pre
sented a beautiful silver bowl by
the members of the club. Mrs. Stover
will leave this week with Mr. Stover
to make her home in Missiouri.

One of the outstanding social
events of the season was the dance
at the Echetah Country Club on
Tuesday evening given by Miss
Frances Ennis and Mr. Marion Ennis
in honor of Miss Charlotte Virginia
Holland whose engagement to Sir.
Jordan Ennis has been announced.
Several hundred people were invited
to meet the honor guest.
The ball room of the club was
decorated with mixed summer flow
ers and miniature brides and grooms
were placed around the roorr
large white wedding' bell showered
with dainty white flowers hung in
the center of the room.
The guests were received at the
door by Miss Frances Ennis, Mr.
Marion Binist Miss Holland, and
Mr. Jordan Ehnis.
Punch was served on the terrace
by Misses Margaret Ennis, Eula Flake
Patman, Betty Allen and Mary
Bradford.
Dancing was enjoyed during the
evening with music furnished by an
orchestra.

Miss Maggie Jenkins and Dr. Max
Noah, recently appointed head cf the
music department at G. S. C.
gave a most delightful duo-piano
recital on Wednesday evening at the
college auditorium.

auditorium.
Miss Jenkins is teacher of public
school music at the college and is
most talented pianoist.
On Friday evening Dr. Noah will
give a voice recital and on Sunday
afternono, July 14th. he will give an
organ recital. He will be assisted b'-
Mrs. Noah in both recitals. Mrs.
Noah will teach public speaking and
expression at the college next year.
She is a talented musician and
reader.

LAY OUT BUS ROUTES
