Under the new law, credit control
powers will rest in a committee

more than forty in one week from

The remodeling of the building
recently vacated by Messrs. R. H.
Wootten and John H. Holloway, re-
cals the fact that on its site stood
for years one of the first brick stores
erected in the business section of
the city. The old Wartzfelder build
ing. This building stood unimproved
until about thirty years ago when it
was purchased and rebuilt by the
late Mr. Ben Oh 1 man of Sparta.
The store occupied by the Culver
A Kidd Drug Co., has been the lo
cation of a drug stdre for more
than three quarters of a century. It
is one of the oldest brick stores in
the city.
There will be two sessions taught
in the grammar school during the
approaching session. This will keep
the teachers and pupils in
school until four o’clock, with one
hour for dinner recess. Heretofore
only one session has been taught,
but the authorities think it the wis
est policy, as it moans that more
satisfactory work will be result.
