, , hc text ot the AAAs announce
ment to day on etton 1-ms:
“The objective of the Agricul-
tiiral Adjustment administration has
been to get an average return of at
least 12 cents for the producers of
■even eighths inch middling cotton.
“The plan announced last veek
would have obtained this result but
further study shews that certain
modifications of this plan will make
it simpler to understand and more
equitable to individual growers and
will make clear to each producer
when he markets his cotton the
exact amount he will receive for it.

“Under the previous plan it would
tve been possible fer growers of
seven eighths inch low middling cot
ton to receive because of govem-
aid, more than 12 cents per
pound for their crop, and also for
to receive less than 12 cents
per pound. The new plan proposes
loan of 10 cents per pound for
seven eighth inch low middling cot-
r better and the total received
by growers of such cotton exceed
ents per pound. It will make
certain the amount each
grower will receive for his cotton.
“Instead of making the adjust
ment payment on the basis of the
four months average of the ten-
point spot markets, this adjustment
agreement will now be based on
ihe daily average of the ten-point
ipot markets. In other words the
adjustment payment will be made
the basis on the ten-point spot
market average on the actual day
the cotton is sold by the producer.
‘ These adjustment payments will
be made through the cotton year
up to August 1, 1936. As before
stated they will be made to those
producers who have co-operated in
the adjustment program and who
agreed to participate in the 1936
crop program.

justment on the 1935 crop will go
into effect as soon as it is physically
