ledgeville, she is a graduate of Geor
gia State Teachers College and for
several years has held teaching posi
tions in Georgia, Florida and North
Carolina.

State Highway Department For the
past seven years he has been located
in Cuwituch count. N. C.. Mr. and
Mrs. Gilden will .nakc their home in
Grandy. N. C.

conclusion of the bus.ness meeting a
shower of Christinas gifts was pre
sented to Mrs. Rozar in a most at
tractive manner. Several people
came in representing Mother Goose
characters. Mrs. Rozar was asked
to be Little Jack Homer and then
she was presented a large pie which
contained the gifts tied In Christ-
paper and ribbons. Each guest
given a very clever favor which

MRS. GEORGE FISHER HOSTESS
TO BRIDGE CLUB.
Mrs. George Fisher was hostess to
the members of her bridge club at
her home on Jefferson street on
Wednesday. Christinas tallies mark
ed the places of the guests. At the
conclusion of the games, delicious
refreshments were served. The high
■ prize was won by Mrs. George
Davis and next to high by Mrs. Otis
Woods.
MR. E. E. BELL HONORED ON
BIRTHDAY.
Mr. E. E. Bell was honored on the
occasion of his birthday Monday with
c surprise dinner at the home of
Mrs. J. F. Bell.
The appointed table was beautiful
ly arranged with a center decoration
of fall flowers. At the conclusion of
a delicious dinner Mr. Bell was pre
sented a birthday cake covered with
tiny candles.
