In a nearby field, unaware of what

advanced, plucking tediously.
In less than three hours approxi

pickers could gather leas than thirty
rounds each during the same tine.
Behind it the machine left bare
stalks and the reclaimed cotton was
as clean as that from the average

The cost df machine picking was
estimate at about $1 an acre, or
about one-fifth as much as hand

UNUSUAL CHRISTMAS DI8PLAY
AT CAMPUS THEATRE
Many people have commented on
the splendid Christmas decorations
that are new at the Campus Theatre.
The display consists of an unusual
ly fine Yuletide scene of a cottage,
Ranked in frent by a snow covered
garden and field, and old Santa him- 1
-elf driving his reindeers and sled. ‘ 1
In the background is seen a mest
beautiful winter sky.
This is by far the finest piece of
Christmas interior decoration that
has ever been used in any ctl Cen
tral Georgia’s theatres.
A great deal of credit must be
given to Mr. Ben Rivers who design
ed and created this unusual display,
and to Mr. Adams, the Manager of
cur local theatre.
