The Liverpool market was steady, and there was a f ; ,ir demand, but no change in prid s. The sales for the three days previous to the sailing of the Pacific amounted to 21,000 bales. The Manchester market was quiet- l Important from Mexico. New’ Orleans, Feb. 21. S!o, of this city, has obtained a grant from the Mex ican Congress to the Tehuantepec route for fifty years, on favoiable e ms. Cavellos has resigned the Presidency. New Orleans, Feb. 19. —The America’s advices had been received, but-iiAdther the favorable report of ‘the N Liverpool market brought by Iter, nor the advance of 1-8 by the Niagara had any effect upon the New Orleans ■market. The leading obstacle to any considerable move- j •meat is the inadequate supply of tonnage and the con signment, high rates of freight.
