Open House Is Saturday
For Newly-Renovated Building

downstairs and an upscale second

that excess is due to the fact that
special purpose local option sales
tax revenue is exceeding budget
expectations.

In other business, the coun
cil officially certified the results
of the Nov. 6 election, in which
incumbents mayor Charles L.
Hardy Jr. and city councilmen
Mark Fitzpatrick, Bob Sosebee
and Richard Massey; and school
board members Bill Davis (who
ran unopposed), Rodney Gary
and Dr. Paul Sergent were all
elected.
The council also:
•accepted the recommenda
tions of the Commerce Planning
Commission and approved a vari
ance to the sign ordinance so Jack
Rooker & Associates can erect an

ings.”
Bray received a facade grant
from the DDA to assist with the
project, but the amount of the
grant amounted to only a small
portion of the total cost for the
renovations.
