Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Commerce, will cele brate the birth of Christ in song and praise during a service on Sunday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Todd Chandler will direct approximately 80 vocalists from the church choir, the Jackson County Comprehensive High School Advanced Ensemble and the Shorter Chorale in the sing ing of John Rutter’s “O Holy Night” to the accompaniment of Judy Eubanks, pianist, and Kathy Pruett, organist. Gospel Singing Planned Saturday The Porterhouse Restaurant, Commerce, will hold a gospel singing on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. Rick Duren and the Boys of Alabama will perform. If anyone would like to donate a plant in memory or in honor of a loved one, there are designated envelopes in the back of the Church to record the name of those honored.
