Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late John and Lyde Rylee Chasteen. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce and was retired from Blue Bell. Mrs. Stephenson was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Langford; and her second husband, James Y. Stephenson. Survivors include a step-daugh ter, Elaine Blalock, Nicholson; step-sons, Myron Stephenson, Hull, and Terry Stephenson, Commerce; and nephews, Johnny Standridge, Texas, and Mark Scott, Gainesville. She was born in Murrayville, the daughter of the late Floyd and Flossie Curtis, and was a lifetime member of Murrayville Congregational Holiness Church. She was retired from Chicopee Manufacturing. Mrs. Reidling was preceded in death by her hus band, W.D. Reidling; and a son, Danny Reidling. Survivors include daughters, Annette Emmett, Commerce, and Jennifer Huffman, Athens; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. John Curtis, Gainesville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was born on September 20, 1919, the daughter of the late Jim and Emma Nunn Mize of Banks County. She was a home maker and a member of the Silver Shoals Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Grover Wood, Danielsville; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Rose Love, Lawrenceville; grandchil dren and spouses, Angel Love and Shawn Cumming, Melodie Love and Shawn Ottenson, Jenny Wood and Tommy Palmer; great grandchildren, Abby, Savannah, Ian, and Avery Ottenson, Ryleigh and Isaac Palmer; and a sister, Cleo Alexander, Lancaster, S ,C. Jack Barrett Jack Barrett, 80, of Commerce, died Tuesday, December 25,2007, at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Athens. He was born in Jackson County, the son of the late Early and Ermine Barrett. He was retired from Gold Kist in 1970 and from the Jackson County Board of Education as a school bus driver in 1994. He was a member of the Apple Valley Baptist Church, where he was an inactive deacon. Mr. Barrett was a veteran, having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by a sis ter, Louise Sailors; and brother, Elwyn Barrett. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mildred Lord Barrett; children and spouses, Jackie and Lynda Barrett, Commerce, Betty Anne and Alan Parks, Commerce and Cleveland, Pam and Carl Gooch, Milledgeville; grand daughters, Julie Krickel, Marcia Allen and Elizabeth Gooch; great-grandchildren, Lyndsey and Rebecca Allen and Nathaniel Krickel; sisters, Virginia Parker, Commerce, and Edna Earl Potts, Jefferson. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lannie House; and sister, Shirley Wells. He was the son of Pastors Clyde and Carol Patman. She was born on October 19, 1921, in Banks County, the daugh ter of the late Noah Lee and Sarah Wade Brock. She was a home maker and was Presbyterian. Mrs. Trotter was preceded in death by her husband, John Clarence Trotter, Jr. Survivors include sons, Terry Trotter and Oneal Trotter, both of Homer; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A native of Salisbury, N.C., he was the son of the late Howard Lee and Mary Jane Seabolt Garner. He retired from Pike Electric as a heavy equipment operator, was a member of Thyatira Community Chapel in Jefferson, and was known as the Produce Man of Carlton. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Arnold Garner. Survivors include a daughter, Jacqui Garner Gilley, Carlton; sister, Hazel Darnell, Cornelia; grandson, Heath Gilley, Carlton; and great-grandchildren, Abby, Ethan and Heath Gilley.
