TCSO Incidents Suspect Flees From Building Site With Stolen Copper Wire JEFFERSON - A worker for a utility line construction company said when he arrived at a Galilee Church Road, Jefferson, site, a white male was seen jumping out of the back of a utility truck and into another pick-up truck. The worker said it appeared that some scrap copper wire was stolen from the utility line truck. Other Incidents Other incidents reported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office last week included: •suspicious person at a Unity Church Road, Maysville, address. •vandalism at several vacant homes in Bear Creek Plantation Subdivision. •vehicle damaged at a Hillside Way, Maysville, location. • a Commerce man said he was driving on 1-85 when debris from a vehicle damaged his car. •fight between two men at a Hickory Way, Maysville, location. •criminal trespass at a Galilee Church Road, Jefferson, location. •damage to property at a Hwy. 124, Jefferson, address. A man said he heard a lot of dogs barking near the rear of his property, but didn’t see another person with them. Later, the man said he saw that someone shot his no trespassing sign. •damage to property at a Barber Road, Commerce, address. A man said his wife and another man moved out of his mobile home and left a mess. Multiple damages were reported in the mobile home. Domestic Disputes Keep Deputies Busy JEFFERSON - Among the domestic incidents reported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office last week were: •a Nicholson woman said her daughter’s boyfriend would not leave her residence after she asked him to do so. •battery during a dispute between two men at a Nicholson resi dence. •harassing phone calls at a Commerce residence. •harassing phone calls at a Maysville address. •verbal dispute at a Jefferson address. •stalking at a Commerce business. A man said a woman with whom he had an extramarital affair continues to harass him and his wife. The man said he was concerned for the lives of his wife, children and himself, according to an incident report. •battery at a Hwy. 330, South Jackson, address. A woman was injured during an incident at a Barrow County residence on Mallory Drive. She fled the scene to Jackson County. Jackson County deputies were called to assist the woman, who later returned to the residence to collect personal items. While entering the residence, the suspected aggressor confronted deputies with a knife. The suspect resisted the deputies, one of whom received a minor injury.
