Holy Week
Schedule Given
At St. Catherine's
A Mass of the Lord’s Supper
will be held on Thursday, March
20, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Catherine
Laboure Catholic Mission.
On Good Friday, March 21, the
Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and
Communion Service will be held
at 7 p.m.
At 6 p.m. on Saturday, March
22, the Easter Vigil Mass will
be celebrated, and the Sunday
Easter Mass will be held at 11
a.m. on March 23.
Results of the Parish council
voting are Michael Bulls, chair
man, Randy Collins and Lisa
Pham. They will serve on the
council for two years.

Warren Chapel
To Distribute Food
Two area churches are join
ing hands in a partnership with
the Food Bank of Northeast
Georgia for a food distribution
on Wednesdays, from 6-8 p.m.

Episcopal Church will help dis
tribute food at Warren Chapel’s

Set At Redeemed
Redeemed Baptist Church,
Commerce, will hold its “Sonrise
Service” on Sunday, March 23,
at 9 a.m.
The service and breakfast will
begin at 9 a.m. with the regular

To Hold Sunrise
Service Sunday
Jones Chapel Baptist,
Commerce, will hold a sunrise
service on Sunday, March 23, at
9 a.m.
Minister Stephen Burns will
deliver the message. The service
will be followed with an Easter
program and breakfast. Everyone
is welcomed.
Also, the church will host the
United Brotherhood on Sunday,
April 6, at 7 p.m.

speaker.

of worship, deliverance, reviv
al and songs of praise,” said

Planned Sunday

Commerce, will observe sunrise
service at 7:30 a.m. on Easter
Sunday, March 23.

service. The service will be fol

Annual Singing
Quality Foods, Commerce,
and the Muscular Dystrophy
Association will hold the 8 th
annual gospel singing Saturday,
March 29.
The event will be held at the Mt.
Olive Baptist Church life center.
Musicians scheduled to perform
include Georgia, The Watkins
Family, The Divine Three, Strait
Away as well as others.
Doors will open at 6 p.m.
All donations made at the
singing will help support MDA
clinics at Emory University and
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta,
send children to MDA summer
camps in Rutledge, assist with
the purchase of wheelchairs and
leg braces and fund research.

Speakers Planned
New Beginnings Worship
Center will sponsor the “Seven
Last Words of Jesus Christ” on
Good Friday, March 21, at the
Commerce Cultural Center.
“Seven explosive speakers will
go back-to-back with preaching
and singing,” a spokesman said.

Easter Events Set
At Antioch UMC
Antioch United Methodist
Church, Nicholson, announces
upcoming services and activities
for Easter.
The schedule includes the fol
lowing: The church will observe
Holy Thursday with fellowship
and worship on March 20 begin
ning at 6 p.m. with a light sup
per served in the fellowship
hall. A worship service and
Holy Communion will follow in
the church sanctuary at 7 p.m.
The AJ’s will present an Easter
drama, “Jesus’ Darkest Hour to
His Greatest Triumph,” during
the service. On Easter Sunday,
March 23, the church will hold
its annual Sunrise worship ser
vice at 7 a.m. followed by a fel
lowship breakfast. The Chancel
Choir under the direction of Dr.
Timothy Wheeler will present the
Russell Mauldin Easter musical,
“Lamb of God,” during the 11
a.m. morning worship service.

Gives Easter Plans
Hudson River Baptist Church
has announced Easter weekend
events.

On Sunday morning, the church
will hold a sunrise service at 7
a.m., and breakfast will follow.
