Homer United Methodist
Church honored Banks County
High School graduate Jay Harn
Sunday, May 25, at 11 a.m.
Harn, permanently injured
during a hunting accident two
years ago in Putnam County, rose
above his physical challenges
to become an inspiration to his
class, stated church leaders.
The service concluded around
the church’s 9-11 memorial flag
pole with the playing of taps in
observance of Memorial Day.
Comedy Show
To Be Held May 31
Homer United Methodist
Church will host a “Womanless
Review" comedy hour Saturday,
May 31, at 7 p.m.
The program will include 15
male contestants dressed as
females who will be judged.
Prizes will be awarded to the
winners.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2
for children.
Fight refreshments will be avail
able at a modest cost.
All the proceeds will go to ben
efit the youth program.

Days Set For May
Word of Fife, Colbert, will
host Vacation Bible School
Wednesday through Friday, May
