Freedom Church of God,
an agency of the Food Bank
of Northeast Georgia, held
its first mobile food pan
try at the church, which
is located on Commerce
Neese Road, on Tuesday,
Sept. 23.
Volunteers sorted 10,260
pounds of food and assist
ed 197 families with boxes
containing USDA items as
well as popcorn, onions,
oranges, water and other
foods, according to a press
release.
“With higher gas and
food prices the economy
has taken a toll out of
everyone’s budget," church
leaders said. “The Mobile
Food Pantry is a great help
in providing help to those
who need it."

Began Oct. 12

week “Fire Proof Campaign"

is to strengthen marriages

will go towards the mission’s
building fund.
