Bom in Utica, N.Y., he was

W. Bremer.
He served as
president of
the Atlanta
Textile Club
in 1961,
and was a
graduate of
Dartmouth
College in Hanover, N.H., with a
BA in business. Mr. Bremer was
preceded in death by a brother,
William Bremer.

Broadnax, 77, died Wednesday,
January 14, 2009.
Born on April 5, 1931, he
was the son of the late Eugene
Brookins and Susie Johnson
Broadnax, and
was a resident of
Madison County
for 38 years. He
was a wood restoration master
craftsman and also an author.
He proudly served his country
in the United States Air Force
in the Korean Conflict. He was
Baptist, and was music director
for several local churches in the
area, Ila Baptist, Danielsville
Baptist, Comer Baptist,
Maysville Baptist, Holy Springs
Baptist in Bowman, Pleasant
Grove in Neece, Arnoldsville
Baptist, and Central Baptist.
Survivors include his loving
wife of 47 years, Rhonda Smith
Broadnax; sons, Mark Broadnax
and Barry Broadnax; daughter,
Erica Broadnax Pauly; broth
er, Leamon Broadnax; sister,
Marree Eskew; grandchildren,
Anna, Kate, Seth and Austin;

was a retired waitress. Mrs. Epps
was preceded in death by her

Scarboro Forester, 79, died
Tuesday, January 20, 2009,
at her residence, following an
extended illness.

she was

Mary Moon
Scarboro.
She worked as a seamstress in
the garment industry in Royston
and Camesville during the 1950s
and 1960s, and worked at home
as a daycare provider for many
children during the 1970’s.
She retired from Life Springs
Resources (formerly Advocate
Press) after 10 years of service.
The love and care she gave to
everyone she encountered made
a great impact on countless lives,
loved ones added. She will be
greatly missed. Mrs. Forester
was a member of the Peniel
Pentecostal Holiness Church,
and was preceded in death by her
husband. Jack Forester; grand
son, Keith Smith; brothers, O.B.
Scarboro, Eldridge Scarboro
and Jimmy Scarborough; and a
sister, Blondine Settlemyre.

the church cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 6-9
p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home. The body will be placed
in the church at 10:30 A.M.

WINDER - John Gilreath,
71, died Wednesday, January 14,
2009.
Born in Dawson County, he
was the son of the late Norman
D. and Jessie R. Gilreath. He had
lived in Dahlonega before mov
ing to Winder, and was retired
from North Georgia College
after 25 years of service. He was
a member of Bethlehem Baptist
Church in Dahlonega, and after
moving to Winder, he attended
East Side Baptist Church. Mr.
Gilreath was preceded in death
by a sister, Wilma Fay Day; and
brother, Herbert Gilreath.
Survivors include his wife,
Verba Jean Gilreath, Winder; sis
ters and brother-in-law, Savilla
M. Sanders, Statham, Brenda
and James Jones, Bethlehem;
brothers and sisters-in-law,
James "Bud” and Inez Gilreath,

Ronnie Grizzle
GAINESVILLE - Ronnie
Winfred Grizzle, 48, died
Monday, January 19, 2009, fol
lowing a sudden illness.
Born December 22, 1960,
in Gainesville, he was the
son of Junior Winfred Grizzle
and Ila Mae Smith Grizzle of
Gainesville and lived all his
life in Hall County. He was an
Associate Pastor at Oakwood
Church of God, where he was
instrumental in designing the
sanctuary and other new addi
tions of the church. He taught
the adult Sunday school class
and trained workers for the
church. He was a worship leader
and was an advocate in visiting
the sick, and loved Oakwood
Church of God, where he gave
much of his time and services
for the work of the Lord.
Mr. Grizzle was preceded in
death by his two children.
Survivors in addition to his
parents, include his wife of
21 1/2 years, Tammy Grizzle,
Gainesville; son, Kyle Grizzle,
Gainesville; brother and sister-in-
law Pastor Michael and Angela
Grizzle, Gainesville; sisters and

p.m. and Thursday from 1 p.m.

enjoyed fishing, loved ones stat
ed. Mrs. McMullan was preced
