the highest averages in the sixth grade for the first
semester at Commerce Middle School.
These seventh and eighth grade students at
Commerce Middle School were recognized for hav
ing the highest averages for the first semester. Left

of the Geography Bee,
Spelling Bee, Science and
Engineering Fair received
awards, as well as the
Platinum Award winners,
top three highest semester
averages and the top three
Accelerated Readers for
each grade level.
Platinum Awards are given
to students for maintaining
an A average in all sub
jects for the first semester.

The Cold Sassy Players
will hold open auditions
to fill 31 spots for the
upcoming show “Southern
Exposure.’’ Auditions will be
held Monday and Tuesday,
Feb. 9-10, from 7:00 to 9 p.m.
at the Commerce Cultural
Center.
This is a great comedy
for first-time actors, offi
cials say. The show will run
March 26-28. The group is
also looking for people to
help with lights, sound and
costumes.
