EJCHS Wins
AP Honor
School Award
East Jackson Compre
hensive High School
is one of 80 schools
in Georgia named an
Advanced Placement
(AP) Honor School, state
superintendent of schools
Kathy Cox announced.
“Georgia is making tre
mendous strides with
Advanced Placement —
not only in the number of
students taking the cours
es, but in the number of
students having success,"
she said in a statement.
“Much of that progress
comes from the dedica
tion to rigor and excel
lence at each of our AP
Honor Schools."
Advanced Placement
(AP) classes and exams
are administered by the
College Board, which also
administers the SAT. AP
classes offer rigorous col
lege-level learning options
to students in high school.
Students who receive a 3,
4 or 5 on AP exams may
receive college credit.
EJCHS was named an
“AP Challenge School"
for having fewer than 900
students and offering AP
classes in all core areas
— English, mathematics,
social studies and sci
ence.

HEART...This is the month
when folks think a lot about
the heart. The Bible says,
“Keep thy heart with all
diligence; for out of it are the
issues of life.” A wise man
has said, “The heart of
education is education of the
heart." When the heart is
right, the life will be right.
The quality education at
ACS is producing well-trained
minds. The spiritual training is
aimed at producing good
manners and morals.
Training at ACS is
affordable and enjoyable. Call
today for enrollment

month" to you.
