Commerce, will hold a fish
fry on Saturday, June 6, from
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tickets will
be $6 in advance or $6.50 at
the door. All proceeds will go
towards the new youth build
ing. Lunch will include fried
catfish, coleslaw, French fries
or hush puppies and dessert.

Mount Pleasant C.M.E.
Church will hold a two-day
youth event titled "Youth
Explosion” Saturday and
Sunday, June 13 and 14. The
event will start with a horse
shoe tournament on Friday at
10 a.m. The cost to enter the
tournament will be $25 a team
and each team will consist
of two members. There will
also be a fish fry. Following
the tournament, there will
be a lawn concert featuring
Prodigal Son, a gospel rap
per. The event will conclude
on Sunday with a service.
Minister Cheryl Fitch, youth
pastor of New Piney Grove
Baptist Church of Decatur,
will be the guest speaker.
Prodigal Son will render the
music. Refreshments will be
