Commerce Grapplers Getting In Summer Practice
Commerce’s young Tiger wrestlers are busy this summer.
The Tigers hosted a youth wrestling camp May 26-27. With
30 participants in the annual event, mat coach Kendall Love
said he was pleased with the turnout.
“We had a great turnout with over 30 kids coming in," said
Love. 'The kids came in and worked hard for the two days
and learned a great deal about the sport."
Love, along with assistant coach Forrest Garner and mem
bers of the Commerce varsity wrestling team, staffed the
two-day camp that introduced the sport to some as well as
improved the skills of those that had wrestled previously.
“We had a good mixture of kids, with some having wrestled
before, and others brand new to the sport. If these guys will
stick with it I think the future will be bright for Commerce
wrestling," Love said.
For more information on Commerce Youth Wrestling,
contact coach Love at 706-367-3611 or by email at klove@

This week, Commerce has moved full speed into sum
mer wrestling after attending practice last week at Clarke
Central.
A three-day morning camp started Monday and finished
today (Wednesday) after a live wrestling demonstration
Tuesday evening featuring the Tigers, Jackson County and
Jefferson grapplers.
