“Steve” Boisclair Jr., 60,
died Tuesday, September
22, 2009, at Northeast
Georgia Medical Center
following an extended ill
ness.
Born in Jackson County
on January 16, 1949, he
was the son of the late
Richard Boisclair Sr. and
Guynell Parham Boisclair.
He was a retired supervi
sor with Fieldale Farms
and was of the Baptist
denomination. He enjoyed
hunting and fishing. Mr.
Boisclair was preceded in
death by a brother, Donnie
Boisclair.
Survivors include his
wife, Peggy Jo Boisclair,
Homer; sons and daugh-
ter-in-law, Danny and
Amy Boisclair, Alto, Jeff
Boisclair, Homer, and
Terry Parson, Maysville;
brothers and sisters-in-
law, David and Janice

‘Libbo’ Loosier

“Libbo” New Loosier, 84,
died Sunday, September
27, 2009.
Born in Decatur, on
July 8, 1925, she was
the daughter of the late
William Lafayette New
and Minnie Lee Grant.
She attended Shorter
Baptist College in Rome,
where she was a mem
ber of the Epsilon Sigma
Tau Sorority. She mar
ried Oscar on November
15, 1947, at First Baptist
Church in Thomaston.
She was a member of
the Charity League, the
P.E.O., the Garden Club,
the Book Club and served
on the Board of the Albany
Little Theatre, where
she both performed in
and directed many plays.
She served on the Board
of Directors of Alltel
Telephone Company and
was honored as mother of
the year in 1974 by First
Baptist Church, where
she had been a member
for 61 years. Elizabeth
started the drama depart
ment in First Baptist
Church, where God used
her to minister to many
people. Mrs. Loosier was
preceded in death by her
husband, O.F. Loosier Jr.;
and grandchildren, Oscar
and Thomas Loosier.

Born in St. Clair County,
Ala., he was the son of
the late Franklin K. and
Kathryn Epps Maddox.
He was a retired civil engi
neer with the Department
of Transportation, a mem
ber of the First Christian
Church, and a 15 year
member of the Winder
Lions Club. He had
served as a Sunday school
teacher, Chairman of the
Board, a deacon, an elder,
trustee, and a former Boy
Scout leader. He served
as National Director of
Dixie Youth Baseball for
26 years, and was part
of Winder Dixie Youth
for over 42 years. Mr.
Maddox was preceded in
death by a grandson, Rick
Oxley.
