'The Watkins Family' to perform
The Watkins Family will bring their ministry to
Beauchamp’s Music Hall on Thursday, November
19, at 7 p.m. in a special concert. The group
includes matriarch Judy Watkins and her three
adult children: Todd, Lorie and Shanon. Multi
instrumentalist Jonathan Maness of Knoxville,
Tenn. joined the group recently. Their latest
project “Heaven’s Worth Waiting For” features a
collection of new material. A love offering will be

seeking church floats for the
2nd annual Christmas parade
and festival on Saturday and
Sunday, December 5 and 6,
The parade is on Sat. at 12
p.m. Floats must be at the
Banks Elementary School by
10 a.m. in order to be lined
up. A donation fee of $25
is requested for each entry.

Great Food For All is
now taking food orders until
Tuesday December 1. The
Jackson County distribution
center is in the Holly Springs
United Methodist Church
fellowship hall. The cost is
as follows: basic food box
$30, senior meals $28, kid’s
box $18, Christmas dinner
box (feeds 12) $40, break
fast box $18, holiday meat
and cheese box $22, feed the
crowd for the holidays (over
17 pounds) $28, Tiramisu box
$20 and holiday dessert box
$25. The distribution will be
Saturday, December 12. For

Miracle Deliverance
Holiness Church,
Commerce, is holding ser
vices Sunday nights at 6:30
p.m. Christopher Patman, a
14-year-old, is leading the ser

been going on for six weeks
where God has been using
this young man through signs
and wonders and the power
of the Holy Ghost." Anyone

Attica Baptist Church,
Athens, is seeking a full-time
pianist and music director. The
congregation averages 65 - 85
in attendance every Sunday.
The choir has 7-10 mem
bers and they sing primarily
unison arrangements. Duties
include choosing 3 hymns
and 1 contemporary chorus
a week for services, as well
as choosing and preparing
a call-to-worship and hymn
of invitation. Wednesday
evenings will consist of lead
ing contemporary Christian
and modern Christian rock.
Pianist should be able to play
contemporary songs, hymnals
and accompaniments. The
hours will be Sunday, both
a.m. and p.m., choir practice
and Wednesday evenings. The
pay is $111 per week, per posi
tion. Desired are individuals
that have a passion in help
ing the church grow musi
cally and spiritually. Anyone

Operation Christmas
Child is an outreach of
Samaritan's Purse Ministry
and is headed by Franklin
Graham, Dr. Billy Graham’s
oldest son. Leaders state,
"Every day boys and girls
worldwide suffer from war,
poverty, disease and natural
disaster. Operation Christmas
Child makes it possible for
millions of these children to
experience God's love through
shoe boxes filled with gifts by
people right here in Northeast
Georgia.” Any individual or
group may participate by fill
ing a shoebox with a few
toys and basic necessities and
delivering it to a relay cen
ter. The local relay center is
at Berea Community Center,
located 4.5 miles south of
Commerce on Hwy. 334. Take
Hwy. 334 to the number 8
mile marker, then to the cen
ter. Collection dates are as
follows: Thursday, November
19, from 6-8 p.m.; Friday
and Saturday, November 20
and 21, from 12-7 p.m. and
Sunday, November 22, from
1-4 p.m. If needed, the OCC
ministry team may be con
tacted to make arrangements
to drop off boxes at a different
