COMER - Lessie Pearl
Davis Bridges, 91, passed
away on Thursday, June
23, 2016, at St. Mary’s
Hospice House in Athens.
Mrs. Bridges was born
in Danielsville on Janu
ary 6, 1925, the daughter
of the late Grady Davis
and Birdie Hall Davis.
She was a homemaker
and was a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints.
Mrs. Bridges was pre
ceded in death by her
husband, O’dell Bridges;
sons, Dennis Bridges and
David Bridges; brother,
Fred Davis; and sisters,
Virginia Sorrells, Hazel
Huff, Bessie Hendricks,
Helen Crowe, and Idell
Fortson.
Survivors include
daughters, Jane Dove
(Stewart) and Cynthia
Jarrett (Ike), both of
Danielsville; brother, Joe
Davis, Danielsville; sis
ter, Carole Hope, Gaines
ville; 11 grandchildren;
25 great-grandchildren,
four great-great-grand-
children.
Funeral services were
held at the Pruitt Funer
al Home Chapel Mon
day, June 27, with Elder
Van Rhound and Elder
David Cleveland officiat
ing. Interment was in the
Bethel M Baptist Church
Cemetery.

He was a retired United
States Army SP5 veter

Korean conflict and dur

Petroleum.

Fynn Ginn, Commerce.
A memorial service will
be held Thursday, June
30, at 2:30 p.m., at Cabin
Creek Baptist Church
with the Rev. Troy Her
bert officiating. The fam
ily will receive friends
at the church from noon
until 2 p.m. on Thursday
prior to the service.
The family request that
all flowers be omitted
and donations be made
to Cabin Creek Baptist
Church.

ney, and Gladys Chastain.

of Winder First Baptist
Church for 75 years and
very active with the youth
there in her younger
years. She worked many
years as an office clerk
for Pete Doster Appliance
Company. Mrs. Saunders
was preceded in death by
her parents, Edward A.
and Faura Queen Saun
ders; five brothers; and
four sisters.
