Office arrested 19 people last week
for probation violation charges.

Banks County Sheriffs Office arrests
Four arrested on drug charges in Banks County
The Banks County Sheriff’s
Office reports the recent arrests of
four individuals on drug charges.
Those arrested and their charges
include:
•Michael Hunter Hamilton, 22,

possession of a Schedule I con
trolled substance and possession
of marijuana.
•Nathan David Abernathy, 27,
658 Garland White Road, Alto, driv
ing with a suspended license, pos
session of methamphetamine, a tire
violation, driving with an expired
tag and a windshield violation.

Theft reported
at Maysville store
lackson County Court results
12 sentenced on drug charges
The Maysville Police Department recently responded to the
Short Stop on Maysville Road to the report of a theft.
An employee stated three Hispanic males were allegedly
cheating the video machines by putting a laminated $20 bill into
the machine and then pulling it back out with tape or a string.
The employee stated while he was checking the machine
the men took a $300 roll of lottery tickets and fled the building.
The employee advised he followed the vehicle the three
were in and was able to retrieve some of the money, but was
unable to locate the lottery tickets they had thrown from a
moving vehicle.
Other Incidents
Other recent incidents reported to Maysville PD included:
• an argument at a Ridgeland Drive residence.
•an animal complaint at a Rilla Lane residence, where a
woman reported two pit bulldogs had attacked a cat that stayed
around her house.
• a domestic dispute at a North Main Street residence, where
a woman reported a man physically abused his girlfriend.
• an argument at a Comer Street residence, where a domestic
dispute between a husband and wife was reported. The male
said he was attempting to leave and the female wouldn’t let
him. The female said the reason she wouldn’t let him leave
was because he had a safe that contained money that he was
attempting to carry with him and she wanted half of the money.
The male stated there wasn’t any money in the safe, only
papers, and he produced a vehicle title that he said belonged
to the female.
• an alarm at a North Main Street residence.
• an assault at a Clay Street residence, where a man reported
two males had pushed him against a wooden fence near the
driveway and began beating him on the back when he came to
check on the residence.
• an argument and damage to property at a South Main Street
residence, where a man reported his son got angry and broke
an electric fan, a TV set and a dish before leaving the residence
on foot.
•terroristic threats at a Freeman Drive residence, where a
female reported her brother-in-law had made threatening tele
phone calls to her.
