First Quarterly Meeting
To Be Held At Zion.
The Hirst Quarterly Meeting of
the Cleveland Charge will be held
at Zion church January 151b, 1914.
This meeting is held a little earlier
than usual this year but it is to be
hoped that all the stewards will be
present, andjthut their coming to
year Way prove
a blessing to* 11 church.
Also the lZTat Quarterly Meeting
of the Nacoothee Charge will be
held Jan. 14th at NaCoochee church.

Mr. W. R. Tatum spent Satur¬
day night with Mr. II. A. Tatum
who has been sick for some time
and is very feeble.
Mr. J. B. Robertson gave his
neighbors a corn shuching Monday
evening, and got his corn shucked
up nicely, and afterwards gave the
young people r candy drawing.
Mr. J. II. Shelnut gave the young
people a pound supper a few nights
ago which was well attended.
Rev. Luther Smith preached an
excellent sermon at Blue Creek
Sunday.
Mr. Marvin Oakes was severely
cut on the face and legs one day
last week from ebt premature ex¬
plosion of powder which he had
been trying to fire. After igniting
the fuse he thoegbt it went out and
he picked it up and carried it some
distance and laid it down, when it
exploded as he was standing over
it.
Rev. Dock Morris will preach
at Blue Creek the first Saturday
and Sunday at n o'clock.
Mr. Ben Mayfield and wife spent
Sunday evening with Mr. J. D. Ta¬
tum.
