Barack Obama’s inauguration,
Congressman John Barrow (GA-

our 44 th president, but it’s also
Dr. Martin Futher King Jr. Day.
I can’t think of a better way to
honor Dr. King than by spend
ing time doing something nice
for others, and there’s no one
who deserves it more than the
men and women who serve our
country in uniform. I’m grateful
to Mayor Fenty and Operation
Gratitude for the opportunity to
be a part of something so mean
ingful.”
Since 1994, the Martin Luther

Military” is a joint effort between

Washington D.C. Mayor Adrian
M. Fenty, and Serve D.C. (the
Mayor’s Office on

their appreciation to those who
serve this nation in uniform.
