POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The Jenkins County Board of Commissioners request citizens
interested in applying for a position with the Jenkins County
Road Department come into the Commissioners' Office and
fill out an application.
Two positions will be awarded on the basis of experience in
operation of large construction equipment such as motor
grader, backhoe, dirt pan, dump truck and semi tractor
trailer truck. A CDL license will add an extra incentive in the
selection of a person with which to fill these positions.
You will be required to undergo an entrance drug and alco
hol screen and on a periodic basis afterward. If you cannot
pass either of these tests, do not bother to enter your appli
cation. Should you be selected for one of these positions you
will be placed on a six months trial period. At that time your
employment will become permanent if you have proved your
self sufficiently to the Field Director.
The Commissioners' selection will be based on the person
believed to be the best qualified to fill these positions. Jenkins

PROGRAM TECHNICIAN NEEDED
The Jenkins County FSA Office will accept
applications for Program Technician position
through the close of business on December 24,
2009. This position for office assistance to help
administer federal farm programs to producers in
Jenkins County. The incumbent will work only
when needed.
This job will be a temporary position not to
exceed April 30, 2010. Salary will depend on
the experience of the person selected, but no less
than $ 1 1.74 per hour.

be picked up at the Jenkins County FSA office at
837 College Avenue, Millen, GA across from the
fire department.
