party claiming an interest in the follow
ing property is herby notified that on
January 16, 2008, said property was
seized by the undersigned agency and
there is a forfeiture pending against said
property in Jenkins County, Georgia: (1)
1979 Cadillac Deville, Georgia Tag
#AVW4413, VIN. #6D47599206366;
Conduct giving rise to said seizure
was as follows: The vehicle was travel
ing East on Winthrope Avenue and the
driver was not wearing a seat belt and
the vehicle had no tag light. Officer Ad
ams attempted to make a traffic stop on
the vehicle but the driver would not
stop. Said vehicle pulled behind some
apartments and the driver exited the ve
hicle. Officer Adams identified the driver
as Eric Demetrius Jeff. Jeff fled the
scene. Officer Adams stayed with the
vehicle and inside the vehicle on the
drivers floorboard located a clear zip
lock bag containing a small clear baggie
with seeds inside and a larger bag with
powder inside and a pill shaped hard
green substance. Substance was field
tested positive for methamphetamine/
MDMA. The (1) 1979 Cadillac Deville,
Georgia Tag #AVW4413, VIN,
#6D47599206366 was seized as it was
directly or indirectly used or intended for
use to facilitate a drug transaction, to-
wit: possession of Methamphetamine/
MDMA.
You must file a claim within thirty
(30) days of the second publication of
this notice of seizure by sending a claim
to the seizing law enforcement agency
and to the District Attorney by certified
mail, return receipt requested unless
you were served other than by publica
tion prior to that date.
Failure to file a timely claim will re
sult in the forfeiture of the above prop
erty.
