Mr. Boggs of Clarke county,
has'substituted a bagging lor

the siik weed. This grows
wild in fields to a great length.
If cultivated there is no telling
its length. Mr. Boggs thinks
this would make a good fibre
for bagging, and could beman
ufactured as cheap as jute.
Robinson and Smith were
the parties arrested Saturday
night. They are both of South
Carolina. Robinson was charg
ed with choking his wife.
Smith was charged with steal
ing Robinson’s cow and selling
it, but the theft was done in
South Carolina. The justic is
sued the warrant all the same.
Both parties were committed
to jail until Monday morning,
when they were giving an ex
amining trial; or rather prepar
ations had been made and the
prisoners produced in court.
But as no witnesses appeared
against Robinson he was dis
missed. And, as the state of
Georgia didn’t have time to go
after the s’.ateofSouthCaroli
?a to appear agaiast Smith, of
ourse lie had to be dismissed.
But it is thought he could have
been detained on tha charge of
being the paramour of Robin
son’s wife.

somewhere near Gainesville,
and remained there until Mrs.
Robinson's mother moved to
the Ilaulbrook place, when
they returned. Last week,
when Robinson’s time was out

so impertinent as to sell his
