Mr. Rilch of Jefferson, gave fhis office a social call yesterday. The largest crowd in attendance at court, was yesterday. Mr. M, L. Chandler was in town this week. A mad dog was reported killed near Maysville last week. A nice drove of mules wero in town yesterday Mr. J. E. Stephens reports hav ing killed a mad cat. last week. It is thought court will adjourn to-morrow if not, to-day. Farmers are vary busy planting corn. Mr. King of the (Jarnesville Tri bune, gave this oliiee a pleasant call yesterday. Business has been rpiito lively with tho merchants Iho past few days, court being in session. The singing at Mr, Yv. B. Ma son’s Saturday evening, was pleas ant and entertaining. Messrs, Woodlill and Gray of the Constitution and Journal, were in town this week. There will be services at the M. E. Church sth Sunday in this month. Rorie is a divine of no small mental cal ibre.
