Miss Mary Selman continues quite
ill at the home of her cousin, Miss
Bryant and will be unable to return
home for the holidays as she expected.
Miss Selman’s illness is a matter of
sincere regret to her friends, all of

Mrs. Dock Scogin, of Haywood, was
seriously hurt two weeks ago. She wrs
in the mill which is being run by her
husband when her dress caught on a
revolving shaft, and before the ma
chinery could be slopped one kuee was
dislocated, besides which she sustained
other very painful bruises. Fortunate
