HOLDS MEETING
The Nature Lovers Club met
in Rockmart Friday and those
attending from the local Club

Dodd. Mrs. Claude Whitehead

A tour of Hutchines Mountain
was made, where numerous wild
flowers were in bloom.

The double ring ceremony was
performed by the Rev. Henry
G. Walker, pastor of the Sum
merville Methodist Church, in
the presence of a few close
friends and relatives of the
couple.
Nuptial music was presented
by Miss June Wyatt, pianist, and
Mrs. Carl King, vocalist, who is
a cousin of the bride. Mrs. King
sang “Ah, Sweet Mystery of
Life” and “Because,’ accompani

Weds Mr. Cargle
Mr and Mrs. Gordon Reynolds,
of Oak Hill, announce the mar
riage of their daughter, Dorothy
Mae, to James Oliver Cafgle.
The ceremony was solemnized
Saturday night, April 16, at the
home of the officiating minister

The bride was attired in a
blue dress with black accessor
ies, her corsage was of red
roses. Mrs. Cargle is a graduate
of Lyerly High School.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Houston Cargle,
of Little Sand Mountain.
Bryant Ward was the groom’s
best man. Miss Louise Reynolds,
sister of the bride, who served
as maid-of-honor, wore a pink
dress with black accessories. Her
corsage was of white carnations.
Mrs. Bryant Ward, aunt of the
I bride, was matron-of-honor. She
; wore a blue suit with white
accessories.
Also attending the wedding
were Miss Bettye Harrison, Rob
ert Ball and Jim Pledger.
The couple are residing with
the bride’s parents at Oak Hill
for the present.

Guests were 12 boy friends of
the young honoree.
Swimming Classes
Planned al Trion
Swimming classes will be con
ducted from April 26-May 10 by
Jess Bailey, Northwest Georgia
YMCA secretary, assisted by
Mack Hankins and Carl Wil
liams, at the Trion Community
Center.
Although primarily for the
children classes can be arrang
ed for adults. Those interested
should contact Harry Hardeman
or A. J. trickland.

“Sweetest Story Ever Told” dur
ing the ceremony. The tradition
al wedding marches were used.
Miss Hazel Toles, who was her
sister’s maid of honor and only
attendant, wore an aqua dress of
marquisette fashioned with a
fitted bodice and featuring tiny
rows of ruffling on the skirt and
bodice. She carried an old
fashioned bouquet of garden
flowers.
Earl Storey was Mr. Buffing
tons best man.
Entering on the arm of her
father, who gave her in marri
age, the bride wore a princess
styled gown of white taffeta
with a round yoke of marquiset
te outlined with a Bertha. Her
veil was caught with a cluster
of orange blossoms and she car
ried a small white Bible with a
purple orchid.
The bride’s mother was attired
in a multi-colored figured dress
with which she wore black ac
cessories. Her corsage was of
white carnations.
For her going-away outfit,
Mrs. Buffington wore a grey
suit with black and white ac
cesories and an orchid corsage.
After a wedding trip, Mr. and
Mrs. Buffington now reside at
704 North Broad Street, Rome.
