Miss Fannie Keener, a beautiful and
wealthy white girl of Jacksonville, Ill.,
has bean too intimate with her colored
coachman, who has left the place. On
Tuesday ho returned and seriously
wounded Miss Keener and a young
whito man who was with her.
Authorities of Kussel, Ky., have just
discovered the murder of Richard Bo-
ler by his son ton days ago. The boy,
aged twelve, to obtain a few dollars,
smashed his father’s head and then
threw his body in a well. The younger
children witnessed the deed, but were
kept silent by throats.

His Attorneys Leave for Dallas. Where

Atlanta. Jan. 8—[Special]—Some of
Dale’s attorneys will leave this after
noon’ at 2 o’clock for Dallas, where the
trial will begin tomorrow morning.
The others will leave at 7 o’clock to
night. There will be about ten witnesses
for the defense to go along with tbe
lawyers.
Besides Judge J. A. Anderson, Mr.
W. J. Spears and Mr. Ivy F. Thompson,
there is another attorney interested in
Mr. Dale’s side of the case, Mr. Charles
T. Roan. He will have some interest
ing points to bring out at tho trial, as
he was the only one of the lawyers who
was present at the identification scene
in the Index office, when Dale was con
fronted by Horton.
